Dopplers require ultrasound coupling gel to work effectively.
The sound waves do not travel easily through air and so a layer of air-free coupling gel ensures a clear signal. Without gel there is too much interference to hear the fetal heart beat.
Our gel comes in 250ml bottles, is hypoallergenic and is approved for use with doppler equipment.
